The Foundation granted a wish to 16 year old Caitlin on October 4, 2010 through The Hudson Valley Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a tribute to Marty and Iris. Caitlin's adventure began when she and her mom flew to Paris and were taken to their beautiful hotel, Mecure Champs Elysees. Some of the exciting activities they enjoyed were a cruise down the Seine River, a tour of the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, a dinner show at the Moulin Rouge, and of course lots of shopping was included in the whirlwind Parisian adventure. Caitlin and her Mom had an amazing time exploring the city of Paris on her wish.
On April 30, 2010 the Hudson Valley Chapter Make-A-Wish Foundation held their annual fundraising gala. The Marty and Iris Walshin Foundation donated a silent auction item "Bake a Cake with Buddy." The winner and three guests will go to Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, NJ and bake a cake with Buddy Valastro star of TLC's smash hit television show CAKE BOSS. The auction raised $5,000.00 for Make-A-Wish. The Wicked Weekend raffle item that the Foundation co-presented raised over $14,000.00 for Make-A-Wish.
